Toulvern dolmen and tumulus

The site, a listed historic monument since 1980, consists of a cairn (a tumulus made of stones) covering a Y-shaped passage grave; this layout is highly unusual. The dolmen’s walls are formed by alternating dry stone facing stones and orthostat slabs; the capstones of the two chambers are now missing.

The monument is located in a wooded area on the ridge of Toulvern Point. It is accessible via a forest path from the road separating the parking area from the monument. It is also signposted from the village. The two rather less visible Mané Venguen dolmens, further south on Toulvern Point, are just 300 metres away.
